Shelby L. Horn brings extensive trial experience to Bagen Law due to her time spent practicing
criminal defense. Specializing in jury selection and opening arguments, Shelby has tried
countless cases to a verdict. Shelby is also skilled in legal research and pre-trial motion practice.
Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Shelby is a graduate of Sweet Briar College, a women’s
college in Sweet Briar, Virginia. Shelby was a rider in Sweet Briar’s renown equestrian program,
earned undergraduate degrees summa cum laude in History and Classics, and was a member of
Phi Beta Kappa. Shelby then graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and
is admitted to practice in the State of Florida.
Shelby lives with her husband, who is a veteran of the US Navy, their horses, and their Jack
Russell Terrier. When she is not trying cases, Shelby is an avid equestrian and a member of the
Florida Thorobred Fillies Club, a club for women in the equine industry that supports Marion
County charitable groups.
